web accessibility is my specialty.

I’m currently enrolled in Deque University’s Web Accessibility Specialist course in preparation of taking the IAAP WAS Certification Exam.

As an accessibility specialist, I create websites usable by as many people as possible, including those with different abilities.

I’m currently an Accessibility Consultant for Level Access, at which I consult, test, and audit the accessibility of web applications, websites and emails. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a myriad of clients ranging from retail stores to financial institutions, including:

  • Wells Fargo

  • Rite Aid

  • Netflix

  • Breville

  • Magnanni

the more you know, you know?

Did you know 1 in 5 Americans have a disability, or that cognitive disabilities in the U.S. equal to twice the population of NYC? No shade, I didn’t either. The inability to navigate websites means individuals with a disability cannot get the info they need or perform the tasks required to live their daily lives. This hindrance and lack of compliance is discriminatory.

With only about 30% of the success criteria for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines testable using an automated tool, the best approach for accessibility is using a combination of automated testing and manual testing where human expertise is used.
